Playtech CEO Mor Weizer on Thursday said the supplier was expecting to launch in Brazil early next year despite political uncertainty impacting its deal with Caixa.

In 2025, Playtech agreed a partnership to provide a platform for the launch of Brazilian state-owned bank Caixa’s betting operations.

Weizer previously said the Caixa tender could be “one of the most significant opportunities for Playtech for the coming years”.

While the company did not comment on how its market share had progressed since then, on Sun International’s post-H1 earnings call on Mondat, Bengtsson reiterated that product was key for its next phase of expansion.

He also hinted at opportunities to expand both within and beyond its core market of South Africa.

On the earnings call, Bengtsson said Sun International viewed “plenty of inorganic opportunities” around the business.
